How to create and customize Matching questions on Wooflash?

The Matching question type is used to check if students have understood a concept by asking them to link elements together. You can ask a question and specify the elements to be connected.

Create a Matching question

Enter your course and click on Create a question (or Create my first question if you haven't created any questions yet). Then, select the Matching question type under Questions.

Create Matching questions using AI

You can also create your questions using Wooflash's AI. To do this, click on Generate questions with AI. Choose your source and select Matching for the question type. Our AI will create questions that you can modify or delete as you wish.

You can then generate more questions or add them to your course.

Import Questions

You can import questions from a file or from Wooclap, among other sources. This means you don't need to recreate all your questions from scratch.

Customize Your Matching Question

Once your Matching question is created, you can start by writing your question (1). Then, enter the pairs to be matched (2). You can always add more pairs by clicking the cross or by writing a new pair. You can delete pairs using the trash cans on the right.

Finally, you can add an optional feedback or additional explanations that will be displayed once the learners have answered the question (3).

☝️ It is possible to associate several elements with the same destination. To do this, write the elements to be associated on the left, and then the categories (which can be the same) on the right. You can also use our Categorization question for this purpose.

You can format your text or insert audio, an image, or a video using the formatting bar that appears when you click on a field.

Under Options, you can add a tag to your question.

Reviewing a Matching Question

Learners will be able to select the elements to associate with the proposed category. Once all pairs are filled in, learners can click on Answer to validate their responses. Learners will then see the correct pairings displayed, as well as any feedback you may have written.
