How do you set up and customize Find a Number questions?

Assess participants’ understanding by asking them questions about specific numbers, which encourages the practical application of knowledge.

Create a Find a Number question

First, open the course in which you want to add a Find a Number question.
You can also start from scratch by creating a brand-new course.

Click on Create a question and select Find a Number under Questions.

Import questions

You can import questions from a file or from Wooclap, among others.
This means you don’t need to recreate all your questions from scratch.

Customize the Find a Number question

Once you’ve opened your Find a Number question, you can personalize and adapt it to your needs.
Start by adding the question you want to ask (1). Then enter the number you want as the correct answer (2).

You can add a tolerance to your question (3). For example, if your value is 118 and you set a tolerance of 2, answers between 116 and 120 will be considered correct.

Finally, you can add optional feedback or additional explanations that will appear once learners have answered the question (4).

You can format your text or insert audio, an image, or a video using the formatting toolbar that appears when you click in a field.

Under Options, you will be able to create or select tags for your question.
These tags will help you get a clearer overview when reviewing your results.

Once your question is customized, don’t forget to click Finish.
The question will then be saved in your course. You can also click Create another question if you wish to continue working on your course.
