☝️ By default, AI is available for all Wooflash accounts. However, it’s possible that this option is not enabled for your school or institution.
Using Wooflash AI to Create Your Course or Study Sessions
When creating a new course, you can choose to start from scratch by writing your own questions, or you can generate content using AI.
Select the Source
AI lets you create content from various sources.
From a Document
The file can be a course presentation, notes, research paper, or news article.
Accepted formats include: PDF, PowerPoint, OpenDocuments, Pages, and Text.
You can also refine your content by selecting the most relevant pages for your course.
If you import a PDF containing photos or screenshots, make sure to check the box:
My PDF is a scanned document, screenshot, or photo of a text document.
☝️ Files can be up to 200 MB in size. If your file is larger, we recommend splitting it into smaller parts or removing images to make it lighter.
From Text
Copy and paste the text you want the questions to be based on.
From a Topic
Enter the topic you want the content to be generated on. A precise topic yields more targeted questions, while a broader topic can help you cover different aspects before focusing on specific ones.
You can also define the language of the generated content.
To help the AI create more relevant questions, you can optionally specify the subject, difficulty level, and target class. Only the topic and language are required.
From a YouTube Video
Paste a YouTube link to create content from an online video. Only the audio content is used.
☝️ For privacy and security reasons, this option is unavailable if your Wooflash account is linked to GAR.
From a Link
Paste the link to the webpage you want to use as the basis for your questions.
This could be a blog article, a Wikipedia page, or any other website.
Only text content is used. Images and videos are ignored.
From an Audio or Video File
Upload an audio or video file from your computer, and the AI will generate questions based on it!
Accepted formats: MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, M4A, WAV, WEBM
Maximum file size: 25 MB. If your file is larger, we recommend splitting it into smaller parts.
For videos, only the audio content will be used to create questions.
Choose the Type of Question
Once you’ve selected your source, it’s time to choose the type of question you want to generate.
You can also add a prompt to help the AI create more customized questions.
Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
You can choose how many correct and incorrect answers each question should have.
Open-Ended Questions
Generate open-ended question prompts and their corresponding correct answers.
Fill-in-the-Blank Questions
Generate questions with blanks for learners to fill in.
Matching Questions
Generate matching questions with their correct pairs. You can select the number of matches.
Flashcard Sets
Generate a set of two-sided cards to test knowledge of translations, concepts, definitions, dates, and more.
☝️ If you choose to create flashcards, you must first select the type of flashcard before clicking Add Questions to Course.
Click Generate Content and enjoy the power of AI to create your course in just seconds!
Your Questions
The AI-generated content now appears on your screen. It’s essential to review and adapt it to your audience:
Check both correct and incorrect answers (the AI wizard is powerful, but it can make mistakes, stay critical!)
Ensure each question aligns with your learning objectives
Adjust the wording to fit your students’ level and teaching style
You can edit any question or answer directly by clicking on it and changing the text.
Each type of question will appear in its own tab.
Be sure to check each tab to view all your generated content.
You can generate more questions by clicking Generate more content in the same section.
You can also export your AI-generated questions before adding them to your course by clicking Export.
Supported export formats: Word, Excel, Moodle XML, Pronote (MCQs only), Anki, QTI, and H5P.
Then, click Add the questions to the course.
Each new batch of questions will be grouped in a new chapter titled Questions Created by AI.
You can rename the chapter by clicking the three dots on the right side of your screen and selecting Edit.
Disabling AI
You can disable AI-related features in your account settings.
Go to your account settings and turn off the option under the Artificial Intelligence tab.
