How to Interpret Results on Wooflash? What do the Terms success, completion, and mastery mean?
Wooflash is a valuable interactive tool for boosting learning, but its true strength lies in the ability to correctly interpret the data collected. Understanding the meaning of success, completion, and mastery rates is crucial for adjusting your teaching methods and maximizing the impact of your activities. This guide will give you the keys to transforming your Wooflash results into actionable information for continuous improvement.
Results
Under the Results tab (1), you will have access to the statistics and reports of your courses (2).
You can first choose which statistics or reports you wish to view:
View statistics/reports for all learners
View your statistics/reports if you are also studying this course
View statistics/reports for a group
View statistics/reports for a single learner
Statistics
Regardless of the option chosen, you will always see the same statistics:
A summary of results, where you can see the success, completion, and mastery for this course (which we will explain later in this article).
A table summarizing the learners' completion. This summarizes the correct and incorrect answers given by the learners. The redder a box is, the more incorrect answers the learner gave. The greener a box is, the more correct answers the learner gave. You can hover your mouse over a box to get more precise statistics. You can also download this table in Excel format.
A summary by chapters that lists the success, completion, and mastery of learners per chapter.
A summary of the success rate per question.
A table summarizing the success and completion of each learner. You will also see the number of study sessions, as well as the average study time and the last study date.
Reports
Under Reports, you will see all the questions asked in your course, as well as a summary of the responses received. You will see the number of correct answers compared to all responses received for each question.
☝️ Note that Wooflash does not have data for Flashcard type questions, as learners must self-assess their answers.
Success, Completion, and Mastery
Wooflash measures 3 rates that you can track for each learner. Learners will also have access to these rates during their revisions.
Success refers to the percentage of correct questions out of the questions answered.
Completion is the percentage of questions already viewed out of all questions.
Mastery refers to the percentage of concepts durably memorized.
